The 20th Anniversary Commemorative Collection by Jay Strongwater features a re-creation of the frame that started it all back in 1995. Handcrafted of metal and finished in a palette of jet, crystal, and gold aurum, this frame is adorned with genuine mother-of-pearl stones set on 18-kt. gold over pewter. The transparent ruby backplate is specially engraved with the message "Celebrating 20 Years of Fabulousness!" measuring 4.5"W x 5.5"T, it can hold a 3" x 4" photo.

Jay Strongwater's journey in the world of fashion and home furnishings began while he was a student at the Rhode Island School of Design. After receiving praise for a necklace he made for his mother, he started showcasing his jewelry samples at open buyer days in New York's finest department stores, leading to the birth of his burgeoning business. At the age of 23, Strongwater met designer Oscar de la Renta, with whom he began collaborating on jewelry designs for runway shows.

The move to home accessories was a delightful and organic progression. In the 1994 holiday season, Strongwater sent gifts of jewel-encrusted filigree picture frames to friends, fashion editors, and buyers, who immediately fell in love with the design. By 1998, his Jewels for the Home collection had supplanted his fashion business, as Strongwater had created his own niche: the jeweler turning his meticulous eye and art toward a world beyond a woman's wrists, neck, and ears.

The 20th Anniversary Commemorative Collection frame is forged and embellished in the Jay Strongwater workshops in Rhode Island and New York, just like the first one.
